Collections help you organize your samples into groups that make sense for your workflow. Create collections for projects, genres, sound types, or any way you like to work.

What Are Collections?

Collections are folders for your samples:

Creating a Collection

  1. Open the Samples panel
    Click "Samples" in the bottom panel or press 3.
  2. Click "New Collection"
    Look for the folder+ icon or "New Collection" button.
  3. Name your collection
    Give it a descriptive name.
  4. Start adding samples
    Drag samples into the collection.

  1. Right-click on a sample
  2. Select "Add to Collection"
  3. Choose the collection

By Mood

Tip: Create a "Go-To" collection with your favorite, most-used samples. This saves time when starting new projects.

Managing Collections

Renaming

  1. Right-click the collection
  2. Select "Rename"
  3. Type the new name

Deleting

  1. Right-click the collection
  2. Select "Delete"
  3. Confirm deletion

Note: Deleting a collection doesn't delete the samples—they stay in your library.

Reordering

FlowState includes some automatic collections:

Favorites

Mark samples as favorites for quick access:

  1. Hover over a sample
  2. Click the star/heart icon
  3. Find favorites in the Favorites collection

Create a new collection called Trap Drums

Add these samples to the project collection
